Framing is more than visual enhancement; it is structural protection. Discover the premium timber, acid-free board, and high-performance glass profiles that go into every piece we manufacture.
We resource only premium-grade materials from sustainable, certified wood traders and technical preservation labs.
We source raw oak, ash, watercolour stains, walnut, and pine timber from sustainable, FSC-certified mills. We never use composite plastics, cardboard wraps, or MDF mouldings. This ensures that the frames maintain structural integrity without warping over decades.
Standard backing boards contain lignin which decays into acids that turn artwork yellow and brittle. We use pH-neutral, alpha-cellulose conservation mountboards. These boards actively absorb acidic airborne pollutants, protecting paper fibres.
We supply specialised UV-reflective glazing from Tru Vue. These options protect watercolours and signed items from thermal deterioration and light exposure. Anti-reflective options ensure that details are fully visible in bright settings.

We work with you to measure the piece, select timber colours, and determine mat border margins that draw focus directly to the artwork, striking a balance with the room's interior.
The wood moulding is cut with micro-metric miter saws to guarantee sharp 45-degree corner joins, then pinned and bonded under high pressure using archival wood adhesives.
The artwork is mounted onto the backing board using reversible acid-free hinging tape or conservation-grade pins, ensuring that the piece can be removed undamaged in the future.
The framing sandwich (glass, mat, artwork, and backing) is assembled. The frame backing is sealed with conservation backing paper and framed with steel hang wires for easy mounting.
